Screen printed t shirts in short and long sleeve, plus sweatshirts and other garments that take screen printing, in cotton, blends or technical fabric and in colours from white to black. The ink goes through a mesh screen, one colour at a time, and sits bonded into the fabric: it works best with logos of a few flat colours across many identical garments.

Flat, hard-wearing colours

Screen printing gives vivid, opaque inks that stay true to your colour reference and survive plenty of washes. Logos of one to four colours are typical, with one screen per colour.

Cotton, organic or recycled

There are 100% cotton t shirts, cotton-polyester blends and technical fabric, many in organic cotton or recycled material. Most carry OEKO-TEX certification.

From chest to back

It is the technique that handles large formats best, from a chest logo to a full back print. The maximum print area for each position is on the product page.

Screen printed t shirts for teams, events and trade shows

The screen printed t shirt is the most repeated garment in company workwear: it puts a team in matching kit at a trade show, dresses the volunteers at an event or goes into the welcome pack for new starters. There are unisex, men's, women's and kids' cuts, with crew or V-neck.

Because every screen needs its own set-up, screen printing pays off when the same design goes on lots of garments. You can combine t shirts, sweatshirts and other garments with the same logo in a single quote, with a minimum order of €100.00 excl. VAT.

Fabric, weight and how it is printed

Cotton is the ideal base: the ink stays sharp and lasts. On polyester blends and technical fabric it works well with the right ink, and on difficult fabrics screen transfer is used. Weight runs from light t shirts for summer or events up to heavy garments over 220 g/m2.

On dark t shirts a white base layer is printed first so the colours don't dull. The price on each product page includes a one-colour print in the standard position; each extra colour goes in the quote. For full-colour logos or gradients, digital transfer is more faithful.

How to choose t shirts for screen printing

Composition
100% cotton gives the sharpest print. Polyester blends and technical garments suit sport and work, with the right ink or with screen transfer.
Weight
Below 160 g/m2, light t shirts for events and giveaways; between 160 and 220 g/m2, more body and longer life; above that, heavy garments and sweatshirts.
Cut, neck and sleeve
Choose between unisex, men's, women's or kids', crew or V-neck, short, long or sleeveless, depending on who will wear it and when.
Logo colours
If your logo has a one or two-colour version, the result is cleaner and the quote tighter. For gradients or photographs, digital transfer is better; for a small chest logo, embroidery.

What is screen printing on t shirts?

It is a printing technique where ink is pushed through a mesh screen, one colour at a time, and fixed to the fabric with heat. It gives flat, vivid, very durable colours, and it is the most common method for company t shirts with logos of a few colours.

How many colours can be screen printed on a t shirt?

It depends on the garment and the position, and the product page states the maximum. Logos of one to four flat colours are typical, and each colour means one more screen. The price on the product page includes one colour in the standard position.

Screen printing or digital transfer for t shirts?

Screen printing if the logo has a few flat colours and you are printing many identical t shirts. Digital transfer if the logo has gradients, a photograph or lots of colours, or if there are several designs with few pieces of each.

Can you screen print a black t shirt?

Yes. On dark garments a white base is printed first so the logo colours come out vivid. In the free mock-up you see how it looks on the garment colour before you pay.

How long does screen printing on a t shirt last?

Many washes, because the cured ink becomes part of the fabric. To make it last, wash the t shirt inside out at 30 or 40 °C, avoid a hot tumble dryer and don't iron over the print.

What file format should I send my logo in?

Vector is best (SVG, AI or PDF), because the screens are made from it; if you only have a PNG or JPG, we will check it. Give the Pantone reference for each colour and avoid very fine lines and tiny text, which get lost in the fabric.
